2018 Jayco JayFlight 31 QBDS CW Nightmare
If we had known then what we know, there is no way we would have ever bought a Jayco or any Thor Industries product. While we knew there would be some issues to be dealt with when buying the camper, we had no idea that the Jayco Warranty team would put such effort to slow walk approvals, part ordering/ shipping, and flat no follow up with CW to verify they actually performed the work.
We dropped our unit off the CW no less than 4 times and were told they completed the requested warranty claims and obviously did absolutely nothing (fraud). Let our unit sit for months and say it was Jayco holding up the parts, stealing property out of our unit, claiming to fix a water leak with it leaking again and again and again and us finding shop rags laying under the leak as if that was a fix. Service writer after Service writer after Service writer promising the world and screwing us over.
CW Tallahassee is the worst example of customer service of any business I have had the unfortunate circumstance to be involved with. GM Linda Salis is a *** poor excuse for a leader and manager. We havent asked for anything superordinary, just take care of the issues requested and obvious warranty and let us move on. But they're horrendous business practices make as hard on themselves as it does the customers. Its dumbfounding and totally unecessary.
Unfortunately I don't have the luxury to dump the unit and move on to another brand, but cannot wait for that day. I have included a few of the 28 issues documented and served up to CW, Jayco, and Thor Industries.
The water heater plastic fitting leak.
The smoke detector that never had the shipping tag pulled out of the battery during our $400 "dealer prep".
The TV mount installed unlevel and supposedly repaired after ordering a new mount and leveling (twice fraud and possibly racketeering if the money crossed state lines and it can be proven as a common business practice at multiple CW locations.
The tongue jack that Jayco misapplied not utilizing any engineering practices nor field measuring tongue weight because the did not take into account the additional weight of a bunkhouse, refrigerator, and outdoor kitchen all at the bow of the camper effecting tongue weight.
I have choice words for Lemonis and if he ever has the plums to talk face to face I'm sure I would get the same BS speak they have trained there store people to spew.

More worthless Jayco craftsmanship
I made the horrible mistake of buying a Jayco. It has been one issue after another and jayco dont fix anything unless there forced into it. After having about a hundred and fifty issues repaired it's still not over. I've had faulty plumbing, faulty Electrical, squiqe floors, leaking windows, faulty water heater, faulty heat ducks, faulty furnace, torn roofing on the slide, torn weather strips on four slides, a front cap with no insulation, a door that won't close, a slide controller that wont work.and all this is on a brand new 57 thousand dollar Jayco Eagle. All the above are issues that have been worked on. And now i find that the entire roof including the other 3 slides have staples that Jayco used on the roof plywood are not all the way in the plywood and are poking threw the rubber roof matting. I got on the roof and photographed 34 staples poking right threw the rubber roof matting. Jayco's answer to the problem is tp take a note of it but tp do nothing.
Any body considering the purchase of a Jayco save your self a lot of heartache grief and money. Get a cheap card board box. A cardboard box is made with a lot higher quality than a Jayco. And a cardboard box won't put you out of anywhere near as much money .Jayco's answer to this faulty manufacturing
Issue is that it's a cosmetic fault. Yah like when i chose to pay for new i agreed to pay for cosmetic issues or any other issues.
jayco is 100 percent pure JUNK.

Life Time Warranty of Roof - Don't Believe It
We purchased an 8 ft Jay Series tent trailer in 2011. The roof showed buckling and a wavy surface in several places extending from both sides of a central underlying structural support.
The roof was replaced and covered by the Life Time Warranty given to the original owner in 2013.
In 2018, the same exact problem occurred again. When brought to the attention to Jayco, the company this time has denied my request for another roof replacement. Although the Life Time Warranty is still valid, since I'm the original owner, Jayco is now telling me that the buckling and wavy surface is a "cosmetic" issue which is not covered by the Warranty. The CEO at Manteca Trailers and Motorhomes, where I purchased the unit, agrees there is a problem but contends it's structural and not covered by the warranty.
The tent trailer has rarely been used, it's stored covered and next to our home in Danville, CA which has a very mild year round climate.
The unit has been washed perhaps 4 times using only water and Dawn.
Jayco has no explanation for the bucking and warping. Regarding the Life Time Warranty on the roof, don't believe Jayco!
Buyer's be ware
Jayco's faulty plumbing mixed with it's faulty electrical and with in a month and a half of owning my 2018 it was on fire. Removed panels and saw i have a fifty thousand dollar pill of junk.my worst mistake in life has been buying a Jayco

Never go to camping w there the worst. Lazydays will do warranty work,.
You never said that the tongue jack worked or did not work. The TV mount was unlevel and you think this is fraud and racketeering.
Give me a break. The battery plastic strip is used to maintain the charge of the battery before its purchased. Why not just pull it out and problem fixed. Is that fraud too?
Water heater fitting is a pex plumbing fitting. I'll give you this one. Anyone with plumbing experience can fix this pretty easy if they can get to it.
I suggest you take an rv repair course and get yourself a decent set of tools. Campers are not for the faint of heart or those not mechanically inclined
