Well I bought my Jayco precept brand new and it has been in the shop more then I have used it.from leak in slide,replacement of floor and camping world recking it,Three weeks after I bought it and went camping coming back home on interstate 20 the drivers seat back broke while traviling at 70 miles an hour.This unit should have been bought back by Jayco but still having all kinds of issues, well Jayco say they cant do nothing as your warrenty has ran out. since then I have bought an extended warrinty. I would recommend to all people across America Please do not by a Jayco product as they don't stand behind there units made,piss poor company! Quality control really sucks for Jayco!

Totally agree with you. In 2014 we bought a 5th wheel from Jayco.

Every trip out was another problem or two. Shelf coming a part with only a can of soup on it. Shelf in fridge caving breaking the cooler. Water entering the walls of the unit.

No insulation in the front area. The local dealer tried hard but there was only so much they could do. Went to the Factory at Middlebury Ind. and met some of the most ignorant people I've every met, they were claiming us for their poor workmanship.

We fixed the unit by trading it off on another make which we have never had back for any repairs or warranty work. Never again will Jayco see a dime from us.

Nothing but trouble :(

I bought a Jayco Whitehawk about 3 years ago. My wife and I did extensive research on many different travel trailers and we decided to go with the Jayco because of their reputation as the best. We soon came to regret this decision. I have taken it back to the dealership 14 times in 3 years. Our heater has never worked, and two times, yes two times our fuse box has caught fire. And we just took it out last weekend, and the heater didn't work again, and the fuse box is black with heat damage :( This has been more than disappointing and demoralizing really. You buy an expensive item and hope to enjoy it for a long time with your family, but instead you hope and pray nothing happens every time you go out :(

I've had over 20 issues on my 2020 Prestige Precept since I took delivery 10 days ago

I just purchased a 2020 Prestige Precept 10 days ago. It is a fantastic vehicle except for about 16 minor issues, and two major issues that are keeping us from even using our rig. The large issues are, (1) the large passenger side slide out is leaking water into the rig when we pull it in, and (2) the kitchen sink is not attached to the counter! The slide problem: A service Tech at RV ONE in Tampa said that the drain channel was put in upside down. Their suggested repair is to put in another channel above it, HUH? This sounds crazy to me, so I asked them to just turn the existing channel right side up as it is supposed to be. They said that Jayco would have a HUGE problem with doing this. This was not a response I received from Jayco directly. I'm reaching out to help me understand why a brand new 2020 vehicle that a manufacturing problem cannot to corrected back to design spec? Oh by the way, this does not address why water came into the rig when we pulled the slide out in! The Kitchen sink is not attached to the counter! This was a total shocker to my wife when she went to use it. The RV ONE service tech wrote this up, and it will be a major repair. Both of these repairs combined are keeping us from using our new $170,000 motorhome for what we've told will be up to another 2-3 months. This is horrible, and crushing after purchasing what we believed from past experience was a manufactured that produced high quality motorhomes. Is there any recourse, or are we just victims of poor quality control? To make sure that I'm very clear, the service people at RV ONE have been great in helping us capture the issues, and staring to move them forward; we cannot ask for more from them. Hi. We bought a Jayco Jay Flight Bunglow 2019.

About 3 weeks to one month in, the 19 problems started. Our fridge and gas stove stopped working due to just a wire coming loose in the control panel, but started to melt the plastic casing of the control panel. We also had a screw coming up through our floor. Not quite 2 months in, our bathroom fan stopped working, and the wind came up and the vent started flapping in the wind.

Our kitchen vent was working when we stopped using it during the winter, but come spring we turned it on and it did not open and fan did not work. To make short of the problems, we have had trouble with our awning going out and they just oiled it and say it works fine now, and we are not happy about them not replacing the awning, the lighting under the awning lookks like it is coming loose. Our heater went out, our hot water heater leaked, the hot water heater makes a loud noise when using propane to heat water. Lighting under our couch has come down on one corner.

Our sliding glass door lock broke, and that was a 3 week hassel. Our slide out started leaking in 4 places. The whole roof is not glued down properly and they are not replacing with a new roof, just reglueing it down. 3 of the blinds in the bedroom have broke.

We replaced our kitchen faucet because it leaked. One of the stove knobs broke. Trim on the cupboards came off. The windows that push up, we are insucure that they will not fall down and break the glass.

They do not know how to hang blinds properly for privacy. Our 2 year warrenty was up Oct. 5th 2020. We got our trailer in for warrenty work Setp.

25th 2020 and we are still in the hotel, because waiting for the dealer and Jayco to get the parts straightened out. Our daily rate for our hotel is $148.00. We have talked to a lawyer, and the same thing 3 times has to happen. This is the way I feel: Jayco took not so good parts and put them in a pile, and ran out of good parts and said we need to put this trailer together and got the parts from the pile that the parts were not so good from and put our trailer together.

Now our daughter has mentioned CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT.

SO IF WE COULD GET ENOUGH PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD SOO MANY PROBLEMS WITH THEIR JAYCO'S AND NOT JUST ONE THING 3 TIMES, THAT THEY ARE TOTAL JUNK, THEN MAYBE WE COULD GET SOMEWHERE. WE ARE NOW GOING INTO OUR 11TH WEEK OF HOTEL STAY.

Terrible customer service on warranty

Jayco - Terrible customer service on warranty
We bought our Jayco feather light in 2018 and floor in front of door discolored and Jayco will not authorize fixing as stating we had something on the floor which discolored it , it’s still under warranty . Picture attached

Warranty and extended warranty issues

We have a 2017 Jayco Whitehawk 31 BHBS We bought it new and purchased an extended warranty thru Cornerstone. We noticed a soft spot in our floor just after our warranty had expired! so we tried our extended warranty they declined the claim.I guess we have should read the fine print. So we are stuck with a fairly new unit that is worthless Meaning who would buy something with soft spots in the floor would you? it has been in our dealer for almost 6 months now with no resolution yet

Manufacture defect

My trailer caught on fire, had to be from a electrical wiring. Jayco company does not want to fix it.

Radio issue

I bought a brand new Redhawk 24 J and took some trips. The bluetooth wasn't working right so I called Soundstream (the manufacturer). Seems Jayco's radios are not Apple compatible, only Android! That means none of my music on my radio! I called Jayco to if they could help. Of course, their answer was to buy another radio ($$$) then the warrantee on would not be valid. The "customer service" woman was curt and laid it all back on everybody else and was rude and discourteous! I very possibility would not have purchased it had I known that it was not Apple compatible .. and now have 2 friends looking at Jayco's ... I'll suggest they look elsewhere!

Poor Warranty

I have a 2018 Eagle 29.5 BHOK, I had noticed a water leak in bottom of trailer when camping. Called my dealer and was told to get it right in. I put it in the shop 5 Sept. 2019, He said he needs authorization to fix the problem. I is now 30 Sept and the shop said they are still waiting on Jayco. He said they sent pictures and all info needed to fix the trailer but has not heard from Jayco yet. This is always the problem, Jayco seems to always look for a reason to refuse to fix anything that is broken. I end up having to pay out of pocket or do the work myself.. I would warn you to stay away from Jayco products.

Powderpost beatles 2018 jayfeather

I bought A new 2018 Jay Feather. While it was still under warranty, it was diagnosed with powder post beatles. I couldn't get any help from Jayco or dealership. Jayco advised the dealership to get my camper off their lot to keep beatles from spreadin g to other campers. Dealershjp refused to work on the camper. This has been A night mare.

Poor quality of workmanship

We purchased our2018 Jayco Eagle 336FBOK from Camping World in New Mexico in August of 2019. We drove home to Corsicana, Texas. When we stopped at the first camping site we found *** in the stadium seating, we called and Camping World in New Mexico said it was not noted on the check out, so they would not repair or replace it. We continued home and the Refrigerator was getting warm, also found the water dispenser and ice maker did not work. Also found at first stop that the battery had broken the metal tray into the breaker fuse in front. I had asked if the battery had a hold down and was told yes. They refused to repair this also. We found that the thermostat in the master bedroom was falling off, I repaired that. The bedroom tv remote did not work, the pop up electrical outlet on the kitchen island did not work and the USB on the kitchen wall did not work. We finally got home and in about 1 week the plastic plug on the water heater started leaking. I replace that. In December the heating went out. It was very cold. Called around to find someone to do warranty work for Jayco. Only find 1 in Fort Worth Texas, which is a 2-3 hour drive. They said they could not get to it until March 5,2019. We put in storage because we could not stay in it without heat. In March we took it in and left it there. I called and called but it was not ready. I called at the end of May and they said it was ready. They fixed everything except the tray for the battery, fuse in front, seat. After about 2 weeks was getting it ready for a weekend trip and find the main A/C now did not word. I called and they said bring it back. After a week I called and they said they ordered a new main a/c unit and they would call when it was done. After 2 weeks I called and they said it was ready and I got it back in June. This time I tried everything out before I went home, all checked out ok. Before we bought the unit I told the salesman that the tires looked used. He said he had checked them and they were new. When I got home I used a tread depth gauge and found, l/f 7/32 r/f 8/32 lr7/32 and r/r 6/32. I called about the tires and they said the date on the tired were new tires. I have been very dissatisfied with this Trailer and of Camping World with the worst customer service I've ever had. We wish we would never purchased from Jayco and Camping World. We also noticed the top of the front cap is fading and Camping World of New Mexico did not apply the sealer that we paid for. Bill & Kathy Jones

I had similar issues. Ours had been used only 5 times.

The dealer said that single axle trailers put extra stress on the holding tanks. So why was that not a factor in engineering the thing?

What did you find when you tried to fix it? & are you confident it wont happen again?

Pissed off at the lack of service support

Purchased a brand new 2018 Jayco Pinnacle 37MDQS 5th wheel in October 2018. We have had nothing but *** with our Whirlpool full size refrigerator. Jayco does not service these. Whirlpool will only service them if you or your dealer takes the doors off & pulls it out of the cabinet. Whirlpool has made 4 trips to service this refrigerator which will not cool. After last trip and replacing multiple parts it was working while it was plugged in at our home. Now it is 10:49pm on the first day of our trip & neither frig or freezer is working. We pulled in & plugged in at 8:45pm at our site. Refrigerator nor freezer is working. I’m totally fed up with Jayco, Lone Star RV ( our dealer) and Whirlpool. This is our 3rd camping trip with refrigerator issues.

I've watched a friend go through trying to get her caravan repaired and after seeing this and hearing what your customer service has written in emails to her I would never ever by a Jayco product. They should be sacked.
