Verified Reviewer |Difficult process for Mobile Tech to do Warranty Repair
- - Furnace failed at 2AM; temps drop to the low 30s tonight.
- - Jayco CS didn't respond to an urgent email.
- - Availability limited; most vendors booked.
Last night at 2 AM, our furnace failed. After exhausting the troubleshooting in the owner's manual for the furnace, I sent Jayco CS an email asking for help.
They didn't respond within a few hours of being open for business. I can understand that part, but the email was urgent. We're in an area that is going down to the low 30s again tonight. When I called Jayco, it was a long lackluster call, with no empathy for our situation.
They wanted me to break camp and drive an hour (each way) to the nearest dealer for repair. That might have been fine, but they didn't bother to confirm whether the dealer had the part or that the dealer could even work our coach in for repair. When asked about having a mobile tech for the warranty work, they produced a checklist and policy email that was nothing short of excruciating and painfully long, with the implication that if one item is missed, the whole authorization would be rejected. When asked about why it was so difficult, the only answer was, 'It's company policy.' So, at 1 PM today, after being frustrated with Jayco, calling Dometic CS, getting more info, and oh, by the way, a much lesser warranty requirement for them to reimburse, I called around to get availability for repair.
The RV dealer was booked solid until the following week, and so was every mobile tech I called, save one that said they could try and work us in this evening. Upon hearing the requirements of Jayco, they decided to pass as it was too much paperwork and responsibility. This left us to fend for ourselves for nights in near-freezing temperatures with no options.
Be warned, it will be a battle when traveling to Jayco to work with you; it's their way or else. The next RV won't be a Jayco!
- Nice floorplan
- Worse warranty support
Preferred solution: More open policy to use mobile techs without all the hassle especially in a emergency situation.
User's recommendation: Buy a different brand of RV.

Verified Reviewer |Not honoring warranty
- - Decking between rafters and rubber roof is not part of the structure and bulges; screws mounting it to the rafters are missing; warranty is sought.
Was informed that the decking between the rafters and rubber roof of my 2022 Jayco 264bh bought in 2024 is not considered part of the structure. It is bulging under the rubber roof and an obvious manufacturing mistake...
Someone in the plant forgot to put the screws that mount the decking to the rafters before completing the roof assembly... I just want Jayco to honor their own warranty.
- Budget trailer
- Faulty construction
Preferred solution: Jayco to honor the warranty that i was promised when i purchased the travel trailer
User's recommendation: DONT BUY JAYCO

Verified Reviewer |Not satisfied with your product
- - The Jayco travel trailer is the poorest quality product I have owned.
- - There is corner-cutting in mass production and poor assembly.
You name it... everything that could possibly go wrong or break on my Jayco travel trailer did.
This is the poorest quality product I have ever owned. When I was 12 years old, I could have built a better product than what I own with your trailer. Talk about skipping every possible corner for mass production you could imagine.
There is not a single bit of quality thought of when your company assembles these things. You should be ashamed of putting out a product of such poor quality.
- Every aspect & every senerio that could possibly break has
Preferred solution: An answer to my question, "How could you sleep knowing your company manufacturers such a poor quality product?"
User's recommendation: Stay away from these trailers. They will fall apart if you accidentally cough or sneeze too hard.

- - Less than three years old, a 7-inch crack near the slide appears repaired before purchase.
- - Jayco claims no record and says the crack is my problem.
Less than three years old and the outer wall near the slide developed a 7-inch crack. Upon closer inspection, it appears to have been repaired prior to my purchase when new.
Jayco claims they have no record of it and the crack is my problem, not theirs.
On a rig that is less than three years old, a structural crack occurs and Jayco claims it’s not structural and not warrantied. What the *** is warrantied then?

Verified Reviewer- - Cracked wall near slide; repair done, no Jayco record.
- - Water behind wall; delamination starting; no support.
- - Multiple defects and warranty issues.
2022 Jayflight 28BHS. Three years old and the outer wall near the slide is cracked.
An obvious repair was done in that area from the factory or en route prior to delivery to me, of which Jayco says they have no record of damage. Water is now behind and delamination is starting. No support from Jayco. I bought it new, and from the beginning, there has been trouble.
The wrong furnace was installed, cracked fresh tank inlets, a faulty fridge that never worked, and a defective water pump. Windows in the slide are crooked and full of sawdust in the troughs, and outer compartment doors will not close without force. This product is total garbage, and their warranty is useless.
$70,000+ with extra useless warranties and taxes. I'm almost 68 years old and I'm pi$$ed off about this.
- Will not stand behind their products
Preferred solution: An apology for one regarding how i was blown off and a small good will monetary assistance for the massive repair that is ahead of me.
User's recommendation: DO NOT GO WITH JAYCO- THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.

Verified ReviewerNot covering poor build
- - Water damage from failed seals above rear windows found after diagnostics; warranty denied as outside scope and nonstructural; escalation ongoing.
I bought a 2022 Jayco Super Lite new. After about two years, I discovered severe water damage caused by failed seals above both rear windows.
Blue Compass tech had to remove the underbelly and dump gallons of water to locate the leak. I filed a warranty claim. Jayco gave me a written denial, citing that the unit was outside warranty and calling it non-structural. However, the nature of the failure is clearly not routine maintenance; it required invasive diagnostics to even see it.
I requested escalation and full documentation but was told customers can't be CC'd in the manufacturer's portal. Meanwhile, the dealer has offered a discounted repair that I should pay for myself. This looks like a premature structural defect, not normal wear. I am pursuing this further with the Utah Division of Consumer Protection, the Better Business Bureau, and other avenues.
Pros: Attractive design, lots of features. Cons: If Jayco won't back you when something clearly fails early, that's a big risk.
Preferred solution: My trailer fixed
User's recommendation: Don’t buy jayco products they are built to breakdown!

Verified ReviewerHorrible everything about jayco.
- - Bought a 160k Jayco toy hauler; unit arrived damaged and no help from Jayco.
- - Installed products are poor; linoleum bubbles and doors are flimsy.
Would NEVER!!! purchase another jayco product.
I just bought a 160k jayco toy hauler. The quality of the products installed are horrible. Thr unit was damaged when delivered to me. No help from jayco.
The fit and finish of doors, cabinets, lights, all hardware are cheap Chinese made junk. The linoleum floor has a huge bubble in it as wide as the unit. The 3 season door in the garage is very flimsy and doesn't close as it should. AGAIN, no help from jayco.
There's too many things to list that are substandard or poor quality.
The workmanship of things installed is horrible. DO NOT BUY anything made by thor/ jayco.

- - Mold appears on wood panels every winter; the reviewer gives Jayco a thumbs down.
Cabin 1960s Built.
Jayco
Every morning they are, I mean, soaked with water.
And mold on the wood panels every winter is absolutely very unhealthy for the cabin.
Jayco, I hope you still don't build cabins like this. You should be ashamed, useless people. Thumbs down.

- - Public access to the officer's body cam footage without edits.
- - They say Jayco should be held accountable for actions tied to a typo.
I want the public to be able to view the body cam from the officer taking the report without any edits or stops in the recording. Even if there was a typo, the Rv industry Jayco needs to be held responsible for the sick actions they fought to get dismissed over a typo... This company should be cooperating with authorities if they are innocent.

- - Water leaks, roof wrinkles, and poor insulation affect the 2024 Pinnacle 37MDQS.
- - Even with a 3rd AC, it can't cool on hot days.
We purchased a 2024 Jayco Pinnacle 37MDQS in March of '24, and the quality is absolutely terrible. Water leaks, roof wrinkles, poor cabinets, and not insulated as stated. This wasn't a cheap camper; well, at least the purchase price wasn't; the camper itself is nothing but cheap.
We spent extra for a 3rd AC, and when all three are set to 72 on an 85-degree day, they can't keep up, which goes to show the poor insulation quality. The old 15 Forest River we had was a far superior camper for less than half the cost.
Not even 30 days from purchase, water was at a pretty good pace coming out of the 5th wheel hitch. Five months at the dealer and Jayco is not willing to reimburse for payments or loss of use time. The warranty and sticker on the door state a full-time living warranty, but the people from Jayco say they don't have a full-time living warranty, lol. We use ours for work and spent time in it, but it does nothing when you can't use it. Back from the dealer after the 5-month stint and the issue supposedly fixed, and guess what? Water is leaking out of the 5th wheel again, lol. Another several months at the dealership, and the issue was allegedly fixed again. Well, next hookup, water didn't come out of the 5th wheel; this time it was from under the bedroom cabinets.
This camper is a 125k pile of...yeah, I plan on writing a review on every site possible, which also infuriates me because I have much better things to do with my time.

Verified ReviewerWe bought a New 2024 Jayco Precept 31UL flew to Mesa ,AZ been sitting at Mesa RV for a year drove back home to WA state needed front align. Kitchen drawer kept flying out . Not happy the ordeal to get
- - FRT alignment off; local shop found steering column moved one tooth; cruise control won’t turn on; numerous squeaks/rattles and inaudible stereo.
Well on the phone again to see where we can take it to get the cruise control working since NO Ford dealerships will take it !!!!! I'm fed up with this POS !!!
Built Tuff, LOL. And we found out their tech at the dealership had paperwork showing these problems and never fixed them, letting us hit the road with these problems. Now the cruise control started acting up; it wouldn't turn on when it did work. After a few miles, it quit and now won't even turn on.
So many squeaks and rattles since we can't hear the stereo while driving anyway, we have to wear earplugs! Wish I would have financed it; I could send this POS back!
- This rig so noisy to drive
- No bedroom windows or roof vent
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Thought I was buying a good Brand but not so !!!!

Faulty manufacture
- - State Farm denied coverage, citing manufacturers fault.
- - Assessor said a leak behind walls caused floor damage due to poor roof sealing.
I cant tell you where the lines cross, but my StarCraft satellite trailer from 2017 was just totaled and State Farm denied any coverage on the basis that the damage was the manufacturers fault. We used the thing all the time.
Summer - vacay; all other seasons- she shed for my wife. StarCraft marine says that jayco built my unit.
My wife noticed mushiness in the floor in January for the first time ever. We had State Farm send an assessor. He said the floor damage was from a slow leak from the roof which ran behind our inner walls and was not able to be detected.
He said that after I told him we had never seen water. They said shoddy sealing of the roof caused it. We are out 18k.
We have a worthless trailer with 13 k of damages. Be cautious.

Unfortunately, after two years of ownership that can absolutely be from a lack of maintenance. The seals should be checked and maintained every six months, either by the owner of the RV, or by an RV technician. Seals can fail and should be checked and maintained - that isn't a structural defect or failure.
