Warranty and Customer Service

Stay away from buying a new Jayco. There warranty and customer service stinks and full of BS. Just buy one used so you don't deal with all the littlebtoken crap from New and eliminate Jayco contact. Product is great tho....

Worthless trailer

Spent 100k on a Jayco thinking it was top of line, haven't been able to camp more than a week without break downs. Water leaks, hydraulic leaks, stove doesn't work, refrigerator problems, electrical issues. I want my money back, it has spent more time in the repair shop.

Unhappy customer

My wife and I saved up for a long time to buy a new camp trailer, we fell in love with a 2021 Jayco jay flight rocky mountain edition # 245RLSW. First time taking it camping, the refrigerator and water heater stopped working. To the dealer for repairs, second time...

Warranty issues

I agree with most of what you said we loved our first Jayco. Second one not so happy. Many similar issues as other reviews elsewhere have stated. Jayco would not back up the warranty for their reasons in which I disagree. Trailer brand new 2018 with mold issues. This...

Be aware of delays getting warrantee work approved and done

Jayco - Be aware of delays getting warrantee work approved and done
Jayco - Be aware of delays getting warrantee work approved and done
Purchased our 2019 Precept Prestige 36H in November 2019. Gave the dealer a list of items needing repair during the walk through. We have added several items to the list over the past 3 months while living in the RV full time. This list was sent to the dealer for further approvals of repairs. We went in for our punch out list of repairs in December, but the wrong list was given to the technician (dealers issue), and wasted an entire day and only one item was fixed (leaking water filter causing a continuous stream of water because of a missing O ring). Now we are at the end of February and still no response from the dealer on the warrantee list being approved, even after several emails and phone calls to follow-up on the status. Jayco closes for Christmas holidays, so everything gets backed up. Purchasing a new RV in the fall/winter may save you money but it does not save you time or frustration. We understand the POLICY is approval is required from Jayco to have the warrantee work done, before the dealer can order the parts. Then we have to wait for the parts to arrive before we can even schedule a time for the work to be done. As a result, I hope we can still leave FL in April, or will we be stuck here waiting in repairs for another 3 months, arggggg. This process needs to be corrected to improve “Customer Service”, it’s a real shame when you find an RV that will meet your full time lifestyle and have to become so frustrated with the lack of response time and service. As for the repairs, so far a lot of them are relatively minor and do not interfere with our life in the RV or moving it....we are so glad of that.

Update 7/1/2020 - Well now it’s July and we are still waiting for these issues to be resolved. We were told everything was approved, but parts would take 6-8 weeks to come in.

It’s now been 12 weeks all part are in, but no technician is available to do repairs despite our appointment we made a month ago. If they can not do the work, then they should have notified us before we arrived. Service manager is not sympathetic and the list of fixes keep growing. Just this week the rear stabilizer will only operate manually, electric windshield blind does not roll down completely, and the large slide does not always go out or return without pushing it.

I am ready to travel to Indiana to have these things fixed!

The dealer wants to sell and not provide good customer service, which will impact Jayco’s reputation. I should say, I expect issues, but not the lack of service.

Jayco quality control has gone downhill. The Jayco dealer has been great to work with on repairs. I purchased a 2018 Jayco NorthPoint 381flws in December 2018. It was new. One year later this is what we have experienced: Valve stem on one tire blew while sitting in a...

Warranty work on my 2018 5th wheel eagle

I paid for a warranty repair on my furnace. I was told by Tony Gary a check would be sent to me in February. It is now 4/15/2019 and after at least 4 or 5 conversations, the payment has not been received. Today, I waited for 15 minutes to speak to someone in cust service when the phone call was dropped.

Vacuum bonded flooring isn’t

2015 Jayco Whitehawk. Love it, but the styrofoam layer has broken down and the floor is spongy. From Jayco, gee, sorry, your warranty is up. We’re very disappointed. We’ve had some things break and fall apart, but the floor?!?

Inverter not wired correctly

The refrigerator stopped working. Trailer only two weeks old. Traced the problem to the inverter. The wires were just stuck in the inverter and not clamped in. A neutral wire showed signs of overheating. I fixed it and contacted Jayco. Not much interest there.

Own a 2015 35 Un and this is a wonderful product

I read this writers so called endless list of problems with his 35un. Clearly this fellow knows nothing about operating an rv- stupidly hooking a hose to the black tank wash out and letting the tank fill completely and then stepping on the toilet flush would definitely result in a plume of black water shooting out of the toilet. Could not stop laughing. Most of his complaints are a result of ignorance on operating the coach. We have driven our 35un with very little issues - changed a transfer switch and replaced the *** mattress but overall it has been a good product. We just completed a 2500 mile run without any issues and we were driving 400miles a day. You should not own an rv - stick with hotels —-

Cracks in the roof cap

We bought our 2015 Jayco Greyhawk RV from original owner, it only had 6000 miles, we took our first trip to Colorado, when we returned i decided to clean it before I put back in barn, noticed cracks in the front of roof cap, almost identical on each side, talked to Cunningham RV where it was bought, but they told us even though it only has 10,000 miles, it is not under warranty.
